I really don’t shoot cars commercially, but I thought I’d play around with a few shots I took at a couple of car shows I attended the last couple of years. The difference between the two car shows represented here is like night and day. The Cleveland Auto Show is where the major car manufacturers display their latest models, hoping to drive up future sales…all business. The local show is outdoors and attended by car lovers. They restore older models, and create beautiful pieces of art. The atmosphere is “sooo laid back”. People range in age from toddlers to “very senior citizens”, and everyone has such a good time. Sitting in lawn chairs, swapping stories about what and how they created their cars listening to ’50’s Rock and Roll…geeze I was so jealous…reminds me of when I was an amateur photographer talking with other photographers about cameras, lenses, great locations instead of copyright infringement, usage, and low bids!
